Whew! I’m so glad Sunday finally came. It seemed like forever, just waiting for a chance to hit the hardwood. I have really been anticipating the start of this season. We have a lot to prove; to our loyal fans, to the league and to ourselves. We’ve been playing very well first three games and we’re building camaraderie on this team.
I have a lot to prove. To myself and the staff that brought me here. Many have said that I’ve been a solid player that you can count on for 20+ points/game, but haven’t really done anything special since 2002. Well, that may be true to an extent, but this year will be different. I’ve made a personal vow to myself that this year I was going to put everything I have on the court.
I’m going to give Steve (GM) exactly what he thought I would be able to bring to this team. I’m so hungry for victory that I can smell it. This is the year of “The Valley of Suns”. All of you fans that may have slipped away due to our poor performance over the years get ready.
We’re coming out swinging and taking no prisoners!!!
We arrived in Miami today and did a team dinner. Everyone is so focused. Everyone is on board. We are a team. Funny thing though, I had a bit of deja vous today while leaving dinner tonight. It’s amazing how blessed we are in this profession. When we don’t succeed, we can come back the next year and get it right. That’s exactly what we plan to do. As we continue building team chemistry and work out the rough spots, we’re going to make things happen this year.
Thanks for all of your love and support.
Go Orange! Go Green!! (MSU) lol

JRich,
You just called yourself out infront of everyone. We are all expecting big things from you this year because of this Blog. Stay Humble and this team will go a long way! Good Luck tonight

JRich, I commented to you in a blog last year that I was sorry you had to come to a team that was so disorganized. Now is your time, this Suns team seems to have the chemistry thing going and it’s a BIG part of winning. We won’t win them all, and we true fans no it will be up and down. If you guys play with heart and hustle every game it’s all this fan will ever ask for. Now go out and put the clamps on Wade.

Heart, heart, and more heart, Iv’e been waiting for this Suns team for the last 5 seasons, great win over the Heat!!! The chemistry is sizzling, the unselfish play is amazing. Just goes to show how the right fit can change a player like Frye into a potential allstar and a team into a contender. Nice second half JRich, way to keep it together. “Old” Steve Nash stays healthy he goes for MVP again. Hill is like a kid. Amare, buy into this, play defense and a great season is yours. All this with Barbossa on the bench, can it possibly get any better? This fan has never in the last 15 years been prouder to call the Suns my team.

J-RICH… im your biggest fan here from the land down under… as you said last season it ain’t about scoring titles no more… we all know you can put 20+ on any given night… right now it is all about winning… in my eyes you should have been an all-star a very long time ago… now is the perfect opportunity to shine… you are on a team that finally has some recognition… i think this season will change things around for everything in the valley… all us fans want is you all to play your hearts out… in the end you will be in the playoffs… you deserve success and i’m sure this season will bring it out…
all the best… god bless you man…

good job guys and way to build that swagger.jrich you are a great player and people tend to forget you was voted all defensive at ur college. i am proud of u guys and the only way to get ur respect is to take it. you have too much talent and steve works his butt off and deserves a chance at a ring. i challenge you and the rest of the guys to go at orlando and boston and the rest of the trip with ur gloves on,defense ready and ur threes a blazing and i wont be mad.it’s that sawgger that u will need to take down the supposedly top five in nba. you and channing need to get ur threes ready for the rest of the week and please take care of the ball.lol

Hey JRich,
Loved the game last night. The baseline move where Nash got you the ball for a reverse layup was awesome! That was my favorite play of the game.
Seeing that play made me think of all the great plays you and Steve will be making all year long for this team. That was smooth. As long as you move without the ball, Nash will find you!
Keep up the good work on D. I can really tell that you and everyone are putting forth a really good effort on defense and the boards. Good luck the rest of the year!

When you have played your hearts out the night before and now face a back to back on the road against a premier team with your bench minus it’s best player it usually spells trouble, and the Suns hit the wall with Orlando. We still had enough left to hold it together for a half, and our guys should find solace in that. Lets forget this one, blame it on the NBA lunatics that gave us this early season nightmare schedule and get ready for Boston. Our motto should be, win the ones were supposed to and from time to time pick off a few of the ones were not.

Huge win at Boston, and not just for obvious reasons. Suns chemistry was on display and it is looking fine tuned. Are we going to have trouble with back to back games, of course we are, but this team has everything else you want and more. You compensate for size with grit, hustle and heart and our Suns have bought into the fact that they can play with anyone on any given night. Believe fellow fans, this is for real.

WOW!! The win against the Celtics on their home turf, half way though a long road trip really showed some bite to this underdog!
THANK YOU J-RICH, for coming through to your word on playing both sides of the floor. Your offensive day against the Celtics was what fans expect of you (sorry) but your D and hustle was a big part of the wins, especially in Miami.
Noticed and loved! Please, keep it up!

Whats up you are of the better 2 guards in the league but I would like to see you get more assists and other intangible stats this year (rbs, blks and stls). With a 40 inch plus vertical you can block some shots just push yourself every game man its hard but has to be done. Your jump shot is money especially in transition. Keep improving your defense and give them 2 guards some space if they can’t shoot but you konw that.(lol) I want to see you get to that next level good luck man I will be watching.

During the summer I had many of my friends tell me not to expect much from the Suns this year. I kept telling them that I had faith that you guys would do well. After watching the game against the Celtics, I had to rub it into to all of those friends. Thank you and everyone on the team, we have fun watching your hard work pay off!
