Having dropped Game 1 at home it was great to see the way the guys bounced back and played with their backs against the wall in Game 2. The team was able to make several adjustments between the games and so far it looks to have worked. I have a feeling that this series will be like a chess match with each team making adjustments as the series goes forth. Both teams have contrasting styles and I believe that a big key to victory will be which team is able to impose its will on the other and force them to play the other's style. For the Suns it will be to force the Spurs into a fast-paced game. This is an amazing time of the year; I cannot imagine being home right now only watching the playoffs on ABC. The atmosphere not only in the locker room, but out on the court, is amazing with all the guys knowing that this is a chance that may never come around for us again. And for the fans, that by the looks and especially the sounds of things, want a championship brought to Phoenix in 2007. Look forward to returning to Phoenix for Game 5 in front of our fans and defending home court. See and hear you guys then. Cheers |

We miss you over in San Antonio, Sean! Hope you're well and happy.
BTW, please tell your teammate, Amare, that he's delusional about Bruce. You have trained with him. You know he would never deliberately hurt anyone. He's not that type of guy.

Thank you for taking the time to write this blog Mr. Marks. Please bring Game#5 back to Phoenix! Your fans are behind you and the team 10000000000000%! Keep it real and get ready for a rumble! GOOOO SUNS beat the Spurs! ~ Aloha ~
Victoria - Las Vegas
Mg i wouldn't talk unless you know him....but i don't think he is really hurting anybody any way. And don't think that was a good idea for Amare to say that because he has given Bruce some fuel to run on...But its OK...lol... LETS GO SUNS

I think everyone needs to take a look at the video and decide for themselves. And also review the other videos of him doing the same thing -- and it always seems to be when the Spurs are losing (you can see the score in the corner of the screen)....Makes you wonder.

I think that Bruce Bowen is a dirty player. I've seen him try to throw off players with there shots and doesn't receive a foul. I don't like the Spurs, never have never will. I will say that they are really great team, but they are dirty at times. I hope that the suns can bring the same energy that they had in game 2 into games 3 & 4. GO SUNS!!!!

I saw the video on youtube. I does look kinda fishy. I have also seen Brue Bowen hold on to Steve NAsh's arm when going to the basket. I do think they are some players on that team that are well I hate to say this word "dirty" that just shows they are geting desperate. I think the Suns have exposed The Spurs and can win this series If they continue to play defence!!! I predicted Suns in 6 and now it looks possible! go Suns!!!!!!!!

Hey Sean, how can you say you support the Suns when you played with the Spurs for several years? Hey mate, I'm just breaking your ball bearings. On a serious note what are the chances that you (1) will play back up minutes against Timmy and (2) getting Hakeem Olujuwan to come in and work with STAT on his post moves down in the low block...especially his footwork?
Kyle - Michigan
YO sean tell amare that his image is getting tainted when he calls out other players like that.
let other people find the jerks like bowen out there, you just play hard
David - Washington, DC
I didn't see Bowen kick Amare during the game, but I didn't notice at the start of the game that Bowen was flailing his hands unecessarily close to Steve Nash's face. At the time (given Bowen's reputation) I was thinking that Bowen was going to "inadvertently" (read: intentionately) hit Steve in the nose. Go SUNS!

Sean Marks--you have a championship ring that says "Spurs" on it. Don't forget that.

Hey Sean!
I just want to say thanks for all the hard work and energy you and the other Suns players and coaches have put into this year to make each game fun to watch! You and all the Suns players are important and vital to bringing the championship trophy into town. No matter how little minutes you may play a game, you are as important as the starters. You help make the starters better by your encouraging spirit during the games and by challenging them defensively and offensively on the practice court. Keep it up, and this is our year brother!

Amare was fed up when he said that about Bowen, and he was sick of that happening! I watched the video on youtube last night, and it definetely was not an accident. Bowen totally kicked amare on purpose and he has every right to be mad! I don't think everything he said was necessary, but it doesn't change the fact that THE SUNS ARE GONNA SMOKE THE SPURS!!! Goooooooooo SUns!
JOHN S. - SURPRISE AZ
WELL, NOW THE BATTLE LINES HAVE BEEN DRAWN. AMARE HAS CALLED OUT THE SPURS WITH THE "DIRTY TEAM" STATEMENT. I JUST WATCHED THE PARTICULAR PLAY INVOLVING BRUCE BOWEN ON U-TUBE A DOZEN TIMES. IT DOES LOOK LIKE BOWEN ATTEMPTED TO KICK OR TRIP AMARE FROM BEHIND. IT IS NO SECRET THAT SAN ANTONIO'S DUNCAN CAN'T EVEN BE BRUSHED AND A FOUL IS CALLED. SAME GOES FOR KOBE BRYANT. WHEN REFEREE JOEY CRAWFORD WAS SUSPENDED, (RIGHT OR WRONG) I WONDERED HOW IT WOULD EFFECT THE OFFICIATING IN THE SUNS/SPURS SERIES. I DON'T FAULT AMARE FOR HIS STAEMENTS. FEW OF US CAN EVEN IMAGINE THE PAIN, SUFFERING AND COMMITMENT IT MUST REQUIRE TO RETURN FROM A SERIOUS INJURY TO THE LEVEL NBA PLAYERS MUST ATTAIN. WILL THIS ANGER MOTIVATE THE SPURS LIKE SOME T.V. ANALYSTS ARE SAYING? MAYBE? BUT TALENT, HEART, AND DEDICATION WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS, NOT ANGER. SUNS HAVE THE TALENT, AND HAVE SHOWN THE HEART, WE ARE ABOUT TO SEE IF THEY CAN ADD THE DEDICATION.
Bob C - Phils
Gnobili would be a better actor. He flops in his defence even before a contact. Parker, well he bulls away his defender using his head literally. Bruce lee Bowen - maybe he should try any form of karate not basketball. GO SUNS!!! entertaining basketball game and that's how it is supposed to be played.
Gary - Glendale
Man I saw some real dirty play tonight in SA!! That knee to Nash's groin was the top of anything I ever seen! And no call! SA should be thanking their 6th man "THE REFS"!! I have never seen that bad of officiating in my life!! Hopefully the NBA takes a look at that film and makes the necessary adjustments before Monday!!
Juan - Fort Worth
First of all Greg from Houston, "I does look kinda fishy." I think you have been fishing in the harbor too much with McGrady and Ming. You need to stop fishing and go back to grammar school. Sean, I know you truly don't think that your former team can't run with your new team. I appreciate your allegiance to your new team, but remember which team you won your ring with first. By the way I met you at a Spurs vs. Mavs game in Dallas one year, and you were just as "dirty" as the rest of the Spurs back then, especially when you two-hand slammed. Hope to see an appearance by you before you have to watch the rest on ABC, TNT, or ESPN.
James - Gilbert
Do the players get frustrated that Dantoni never calls timeouts when an opponent is making a run? We were up 10 and the Spurs made a run and Dantoni just let play continue. Almost every coach (inc. Pop) calls timeouts to stop momentum...not Dantoni. What's your feedback?
Thanks.
Randy - Toronto
Would someone please tell Stoudamire to "dunk" that ball when he is down in the low post...the little pump fake move is dead...dunk and draw the foul...please....
James - London, UK
Sean, ex-pat Kiwi living in London. I have always followed your career with a sense of admiration and absolute joy. Always proud to be a Kiwi when I see a fellow national doing so well. This is the year for Kiwi’s. Go the AB’s go the Suns!
